Grandpa's Mountain) is always an awesome

time of year for this clan.

Just wanted to share some of the pictures from the "Annual Davis Family Hike Crow Mountain" reunion. Someday, when I grow up, I want to build a log cabin on the back side of Crow Mountain. It is so beautiful ... especially after all the spring rains. Although cattle grazing was thought to be it's main function 35 years ago when my Dad bought it, it has turned into one of his most prime pieces of property, since it is one of the highest points within the valley its location is well sought after for radio/satalite/cell phone towers. Each year it is amazing as the "little kids" scale the front of the mountain. Some of us older folks struggle around the side then up the back road (still a demanding hike, let me tell you), while others make it up in the back of four-wheel drive pickups or on their own ATV.

This is the second year in a row that both Scott and I have hiked both up and down ... all the way! Although sometimes we thought we might have to be rescitated. And to think we did it for a "piece of licorce"! ohhh ... I mean the view and the company and the exercise and the pictures and ......
