DDDDDooorrra

Dora came into our lives April 2008. The most beautiful little white bundle of FUURRRRR. Picture perfect in everyway ... At least for the first 6 months of her life she didn't shed much! But from then on out I found her little doggie hairs on most of my black pants and coats. Dora was "guide dog puppy" #10. Scott was going through puppy withdrawal and felt like we were ready to try it again since moving back to this area. I on the other hand had said 9 guide puppies raised was good enough for me ... but I knew if I got back into the groove that it's just a way of life for us. I must admit that I told Scott if we were going to do it again he had to attend meetings (something he opted out of in Pennsylvania) and the puppy got to go to work with him sometimes.

Needless to say he has been great. Dora was often at work with him and he never complains when the pups need some attention. This endeavor without a doubt has taken both of us and Amy was willing to help with pup-sitting often. Dora often went to her First Grade class. The kiddos loved it when she came to school.

But April 2009 rolled around and it was time for Dora to go to Guide Dog Puppy college. As always it's hard to say good-bye, but you really hope that this little pup that has finally grown into her new career. Be good Dora ... the Explorer!
